Feels Like Home | Jackie Jones Gallery
‘Feels Like Home’ is a group exhibition at Jackie Jones Gallery in Heyfield (the heart of Gippsland).
The exhibition theme is a reflection of our homes.
‘Curio’ as it suggests is a display that combines my creative thoughts, test pieces and pieces that I hold close to my heart. Some have been developed further, some not – yet all play an important role in my creativity and development. Over time I’ve added to this display and it forms part of my ‘home’. The place where I create.
‘Handle with Care’
My home is filled with artworks and vessels. Some I have collected from travels and some that I have made myself. The intricacy and delicate nature of my collection is a reflection of my home – my precious and calm, creative space. This artwork vessel is made from hand coloured porcelain and threaded with Japanese seed beads. The delicate daisy flower and vessel encourages a quietness and contemplation of beauty.
