Ceramics Residency in Greece | 2022
The Skopelos Foundation for the Arts was established as a non-profit organization in 1999 by Founder, Gloria Carr. The Foundation offers residencies for two weeks to two months for ceramists, mixed media artists, painters, printmakers, and sculptors. The mission of the Foundation is to promote the visual arts and education in the arts through cultural exchanges.
The ceramics area is an inspiring open space with views of the neighboring island, Alonnisos.
When I attended the Skopart it was a rewarding and enriching experience. Surrounded by like-minded artists that also share a passion for Greece and its culture, we worked alongside one another, contributing ideas, techniques and immersed ourselves in our surroundings. Each day we worked with focus and a passion that was infectious.
