Flourish Group Exhibition

Prior to arriving on Paros, (Greece) for a 25 day arts residency at Cycladic Arts; I travelled for two months, visiting 9 smaller Cycladic Islands. I hiked, explored and photographed scenes from remote paths and villages whilst collecting precious flora keepsakes that had fallen to the ground which I pressed carefully between books; as a way of documentation.

The unique artworks on display for ‘Flourish’ group exhibition, include print impressions and printed linen fabric using botanical printing techniques.

Detailed print impressions draw the viewer to engage with each flowers unique beauty. In contrast, soft unexpected colours dance across the linen, highlighting the floras delicate hues, drawing you into a serene tapestry of colour.

As each flower and leaf is different, so is each artwork. Each art piece presented cannot be repeated.
